Welcome 2009

It's been a brave new year to me. To welcome this year, I was able to challenged myself through a lot of things. But to highlight this holiday event, I was able to cook! Yeah, you heard me right. I really cooked a very nice Filipino dish which is my favorite Cebuano specialty. My mother always cooked this in the kitchen. Since I am here in Taiwan and nobody in my roommates knows any dish to cook but some bulalo or nilagagang baboy/baka, I suggested this dish which called Escabeche and eventually let me do the cooking. And guess what, It turned out to be very good. Everyone who tasted it really appreciate the delicacy I had and was given thumbs up! hehe. I had my bite awhile ago after I came back from the church, since I was so hungry already and it is lunchtime. Believe me the taste was way crazy! I guess I have talent for cooking, I tought my talent was just tasting, because I never tought I could cook this one better. =) So what I am talking here??? I'll tell you, this dish is pretty simple but the best thing is that you made everyone happy. And that's the very goal of a cook! hehe.
